Chandigarh: Animation outsourcing firm Compact Disc India (CDI) on 16 October announced a two-fold jump in its net profit at Rs422.48 lakhs for the second quarter ending 30 September, against Rs186.72 lakhs in same quarter last fiscal.
The sales revenue of the Chandigarh-based company has soared 74.44% at Rs2,131.86 lakh during the second quarter against Rs1,222.07 lakh during the same quarter in the year-ago period, the company said in a release issued here.
The earning per share (EPS) of CDI was stood at Rs4.41 for the quarter under consideration.
The company is currently working on 3D animation film outsourcing projects worth $41 million from overseas clients.
Some of these projects include ‘Hustle Bustle’ with Interactive Creative Media Pte. Ltd, Singapore for $12.45 million and ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ with iMedia Ventures Ltd at a production agreement of $8.50 million. The company recently signed another contract for the film “3000 BC” for $19.80 million.
