Mumbai: UTV Software Communications, which is in the process of initiating over 10 broadcasting channels over the next 18 to 24 months, has made three strategic changes in the overall top management of the company.
Ronald DMello would take over as CEO of UTV-UK, which would house all of UTV’s new media initiatives. He would be responsible for spearheading the growth and strategy of the company, UTV Software informed the BSE.
UTV-UK would include the animation business--UTV Toons, the post production and SFX business, UTV Post as well as the recent controlling investment in the console game development and publishing company, Ignition UK and India Games.
UTV Software is in the process of acquiring a controlling interest in India Games, a leading mobile and online gaming company.
Zarina Mehta would take charge as CEO of GenX Ltd-the youth subsidiary of the company, which houses the brand Bindass and its related channels and businesses relating to the youth activity including web, gaming, events.
Both Zarina and Ronald, would continue to be on the board of directors of the parent company UTV and report to the group chairman.
Shantonu Aditya would be the executive director of newly formed subsidiary UTV Broadcasting Ltd, where he would set up the entire distribution bouquet of the UTV groups forthcoming broadcast initiatives - including the already announced Bindaas and Olive Channels. He would also be responsible for identifying JV partners.
Furthermore, as CEO of V and S Broadcasting, he would head the launch and running of variety, entertainment and speciality channels, the details of which will be announced in due course, UTV Software said.
