The Cricket World Cup under way in Australia and New Zealand could well be the first digital championship in the way it’s being followed by fans of the game.
Cricket lovers are using digital apps such as Cricbuzz, Star Sports Cricket World Cup and ESPN Cricinfo Cricket to track match scores, team statistics and access other World Cup content on their mobile, according to a survey of over 5,000 people conducted by Informate Mobile Intelligence, a mobile measurement and analytics firm.
