Tribal DDB India, the digital arm for the Mudra Group, has appointed Shoumitra Rai Choudhuri as executive creative director. Prior to this, Choudhuri was with JWT (Delhi) as associate vice-president, where he worked across the Pepsi portfolio of brands.
There has been some hectic activity at the Mudra Group in recent days, with agency Mudra Mumbai now becoming a full-service agency again. Media planners and buyers have been brought back into the agency and are working closely with account planners, informs Madhukar Kamath, MD and CEO, Mudra Group. Its new media specialist agencies will be separate entities and handle largely media AOR (agency of record) work. Kamath sees this new structure as offering deeper synergies and closer collaboration across disciplines, thus giving a fillip to brand planning.
Ashish Bhasin, executive vice-president, Lowe Worldwide, and Asia regional director for the firm’s integrated marketing business, has been named on a panel of judges for the interactive and direct advertising category at the 2nd Dubai Lynx Awards. Bhasin is the only Indian on the panel of judges for this category. The winning entries will be announced on Wednesday at the first Dubai International Advertising Festival.
Ashok Venkatramani takes charge as CEO at Media Content and Communications Services India Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between ABP TV and Star Group. He comes to MCCS with more than 18 successful years at Hindustan Unilever Ltd behind him, and was till recently vice-president for HUL’s skincare division.
