Sixteen months after it was targeted in the 2008 Mumbai attacks that lasted from November 26-29, the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower hotel has reopened its ballroom.
Located in the Heritage Wing of the hotel, the new ballroom boasts a fresher, lighter ambience, while also preserving the architectural style of the original room.
Other sections of the hotel that have been reconstructed or refurbished since the attacks include the Sea Lounge, restaurants Wasabi and Golden Dragon, and the Harbour Bar. The hotel, which saw many lives taken and was heavily damaged during the attacks, is over 100 years old.
