C.V.L. Srinivas, former managing director, Maxus, the media agency of GroupM Media India Pvt. Ltd, is reportedly floating a digital company. The buzz in the advertising circles is that he is getting on board Tushar Vyas, former national director (Interaction), digital arm of GroupM Media. Srinivas was unavailable for comment.
UTV Broadcasting Ltd’s youth channel Bindass has announced the appointment of Sita Lakshmi Narayan Swamy as head of marketing for brand Bindass, UTV’s 360-degree brand for young India. Swamy was earlier with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, where she was the senior vice-president, head of network marketing accountable for all channels of the Zee network, as well as for the brand Zee. Zarina Mehta, CEO of Bindass, says: “With her rich experience of over 20 years in brand building, she will be an invaluable asset to our brand."
Rediffusion DY&R Pvt. Ltd has appointed Rajesh Kulkarni at its Mumbai office as creative partner. He started his advertising career with Ambience Publicis Advertising Pvt. Ltd. He then worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Advtg. P. Ltd and Contract Advertising (India) Pvt Ltd.
Starcom Worldwide, part of Starcom MediaVest Group, has elevated Nikhil Rangnekar to the position of executive director, India-West. Rangnekar—at present general manager in charge of the Procter & Gamble account—will continue to report to Manish Porwal, managing director, India-West & South, and will assume his new role before the end of the year.
