New Delhi: Perfetti Van Melle India (PVMI) bagged the ‘Advertiser of the Year’ award at the Goa Adfest 2007, which recently concluded. The group won around 12 awards across TV, radio, digital and ambient media categories.
The Happydent White ‘Palace’ commercial won the ‘Grand Prix’ award for the best TV commercial of the year. This commercial was acknowledged at the Goa Adfest 2007 by several international speakers, leaving strong chances of winning many international awards in the future.
Happydent White ‘Palace’ and Chocoliebe ‘Broken Arm’ also won the gold and bronze medals respectively for the TV commercials. The interactive media silver award was bestowed upon Protex Happydent’s for “Daddu ki amanat”.
Sameer Suneja, head marketing, PVMI, said, “We have been winning metal consistently over the past few years, but the Advertiser of the year is a first for us.”
Organized by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), the award festival received 3,212 entries from over a hundred advertising agencies across the country for creative and media awards. The four key awards include the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Grand Prix creative awards and is spread across 17 categories, namely press, outdoor (including posters/hoarding and on ground activation), radio, interactive media (mainly online) and TV with 6 categories dedicated to direct marketing and interactive marketing.
The jury panel was equipped by Prasoon Joshi for the press, Ravi Deshpande for television, K.V. Sridhar for outdoor media and Josy Paul for radio awards.
