New Delhi:There is just one thing more prominent than fashion at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. Their security personnel. Employed from an agency called 24 Secure, hundred guards, bouncers, officers and managers have been deployed across the premises. These guards have been handpicked by the agency and have undergone training on how to be courteous and dress well. Each guard has to be at least 5’7’’ tall and speak fluently in English and Hindi in order to be a part of the team. The day starts at 5 am for these guards and finishes at 10 pm. But long hours also mean good money.
The agency makes a profit of about two lakh rupees for an event like this and each guard makes a minimum of 250 rupees per day over and above his salary. The next stop for these fashion soldiers? The Indian Premier League. But for the next four days these guards will be making sure the only action that takes place at the India Fashion Week is on the ramp.
