NOKIA makes its presence felt at Wills India Fashion Week

New Delhi: Deepening its association with the fashion fraternity, Nokia announced its association with Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (Autumn/Winter 2007) as an associate sponsor for the second season. Nokia announced its tie-up with India’s leading designer, Vikram Phadnis to create a collection inspired by the latest Nokia 6300. This exclusive collection designed by Vikram Phadnis will be showcased at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week on 24 March,07 in Ashoka, New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Devinder Kishore, director marketing, Nokia India said, “We are pleased to strengthen our bond with the Indian fashion fraternity and style conscious consumers, by participating in Wills India Fashion Week (WIFW). Mobile phones today are not just about functionality but have become style statement for consumers. Nokia is leading this change and bringing iconic products to the market which blends both style and substance.”
Kishore added, “For WIFW this year, Nokia has tied up with leading designer, Vikram Phadnis, to create an exclusive collection inspired by Nokia’s latest offering – Nokia 6300. Vikram’s designs with their straight lines and minimalistic look; beautifully reflect the aesthetics of Nokia 6300.
Rathi Vinay Jha, director general, FDCI said, “We are very happy to carry forward our relationship with an iconic brand like Nokia. As the Associate Sponsor for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Nokia adds to the stature of the industry’s biggest B2B fashion trade event”.
Commenting on the partnership with Nokia, Vikram Phadnis said, “I am delighted to be associated with Nokia, India’s leading lifestyle-technology brand. This initiative is very unique as it gives me an opportunity to create garments inspired by the Nokia 6300, a piece of true style, design and craftsmanship”.
