Of the 90 employers surveyed in the health care sector, only 21% expressed a desire to increase hiring in the January-March quarter, while 3% anticipated a decrease in hiring. In the October-December quarter, 45% of the 128 employers surveyed had expressed a desire to increase hiring, and only 1% expected a fall in hiring. While 41% expected no change in their hiring decisions in the previous quarter, 73% of the respondents this quarter expected to stick to their recruitment plans.

This outlook is based on responses collected from the human resource heads of health care firms, which include companies providing hospital services, medical equipment manufacturers and firms offering diagnostic services.
