ACNielsen ORG-Marg Pvt. Ltd will no longer handle Indian Listenership Track (ILT) for MRUC (Media Research Users Council). ILT is a radio listenership study conducted through the day-after recall method (where respondents are queried a day after they consume the media), with a sample size of 4,500 in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata. Partha Rakshit, managing director, ACNielsen South Asia, confirmed this and said its contract with MRUC ended in September. Sabina Solomon, general manager, MRUC,had earlier said that research agencies being considered for ILT includeIndica Research Pvt. Ltd and TNS India Pvt. Ltd.
Rajiv Bahadur has joined Percept H, an arm of Percept Holdings Pvt. Ltd as associate account director. He will be looking after the Sahara Filmy account. Bahadur comes from Interface Communication, where he was working as a group account manager.
Lowe & Partners Worldwide has announced the promotion of long-time Lintas India executive Ashish Bhasin to a new role. Bhasin becomes executive vice-president of Lowe Worldwide as well as Asia regional director for integrated marketing. He will continue to be based in Mumbai, and his new position is effective from January. Bhasin has nearly 20 years experience in various advertising businesses, including running the Unilever Ltd account in seven Asian countries, managing operations in various Lintas India offices, and heading Initiative Media.
UTV Software Communications Ltd announced the appointment of T.N. Prabhu as chief operating officer (COO) for United New Media Ventures Ltd , the group’s initiative in digital media. Prabhu reports to UTV group CEO Ronnie Screwvala. Prabhu said: “I look forward to using my experience to contribute to the development of unique initiatives that enhance the growth of the company with the trade and the consumer by exploring business opportunities for the Internet, mobile, DTH, IPTV business within and outside the UTV group.”
