New Delhi: Digital entertainment has gradually invaded metro lives and with Zapak Digital Entertainment announcing their registered users standing at a whooping 1,15,263 for their Email Service on a single day, is indication enough that we are on the threshold of a huge Internet movement.
Estimated to be the largest number of registered users garnered by any website on any given day the figures took the promoters also a bit by surprise. This is an Indian record and the company is checking with the Guinness Book of Records for their international statistics, hoping that they have made the cut in the global arena too.
ZapakMail has been on beta stage for the past few weeks. A basic outdoor event which saw the unveiling of the logo for ZapakMail rolled out across 110 locations in 33 cities. Along with this there was a teaser viral that was unleashed on the top online trade sites like exchange4media, agencyfaqs and indiantelevision.
Confirming this news Rohit Sharma, COO, Zapak Digital Entertainment said, “We have rolled out a mass media campaign from 7 May, before which we conducted a teaser seeding with our TVC and virals that resulted in disproportionate response. This is the first time a mail service is using 6-7 different creative routes to reach out to the masses and it has paid off for us.”
The registrations have come in not only from the metros, which have contributed to 45% to the total number but from tier II locations like Surat, Jamshedpur Vizag, Jabalpur and Nashik and this is perhaps the big growth story of the Internet will bloom in the months to come.
