New Delhi: Advertising on television by the travel and tourism industry posted a 49% growth in 2007, as compared to 2005, with the Government Tourism Department accounting for 52% of the pie.
According to a report by AdEx India, a division of TAM Media Research, the Ministry of Tourism was the top advertiser in the travel and tourism sector on TV, with a 24% share of the pie. It was followed by Malaysia Tourism (15%) and Madhya Pradesh Tourism (10%).
‘Vibrant Gujarat International Kite Festival 2007’ topped the chart of new brands in Travel & Tourism sector on TV during 2007.
