New Delhi : The cast of the upcoming film “I am Kalam” was in the capital for a special screening of the trailer with former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam himself.
Kalam, who is known for his fondness for children, had words of encouragement for the film’s young cast.
“It does not matter who you are, it’s your dream that matters. Everyone has a great aim, unless you don’t acquire knowledge you cannot reach the stars,” he said.
“I am Kalam” is set in rural Rajasthan, where a poor young boy played by Harsh takes inspiration from Kalam and begins a journey of learning.
And the cast was thrilled to interact with Kalam in real life as well.
“We are very happy to meet (him). He gave me (a) book also, he doesn’t meet everybody, I am lucky to meet him,” said Harsh, who plays the lead character.
I am Kalam is hitting the theaters on the 5th August and the filmmakers say it has already generated a lot of interest among schools and companies.
