Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton said “I love India” after she arrived in Mumbai on Saturday on her first visit to the country where she will launch an exclusive handbag range.
“Wow! What a warm welcome into Mumbai. Hundreds of fans and media waiting for me when I landed... I love you India!” Hilton said on the microblogging site Twitter after her arrival.
“So excited! This is going to be an amazing trip!”.
Calling India a “spiritual and magical” place, she said she expected her range to become a fashion craze.
Wearing a pink outfit, she welcomed everyone by saying ‘Namastey India”, as she posed for photographers.
“I feel it is important to create fashion forward products at an affordable price. India is one of the largest and incredible market and I look forward to seeing the country and opening my new shops.”
She said she had been wanting to come to India for quite some time, but could not come due to her busy schedule.
The Hollywood celebrity also wants to launch her yoga line of clothes here. “I love yoga and have been doing it for long time...I have been approached for starting yoga line of clothes and would love to do it.”
Hilton, whose visit to India ends on Tuesday, arrived from Istanbul where she had been promoting a footwear collection.
