The Saffronart auction house is set to launch its spring online auction of fine jewels on April 7 and 8, on its website www.saffronart.com
The ‘spring’ collection held every April, features an exclusive and eclectic collection of jewellery from around the world. The more noteworthy pieces on display include a rare Tanzanian necklace and earring set, an emerald ring from the Old Colombian mines, and a number of traditional Indian pieces from the early 20th century.
“The April spring auction is not as big as our August auction, but it is a good way for a lot of our newer customers to get acquainted with the bidding process, while also offering a great opportunity for people to make some of their first and most important jewellery purchases”, said Minal Vazirani, co-founder of Saffronart.
The process for bidding is fairly simple and the entire process is conducted online, with the option of also registering, making and tracking bids via your mobile phone. “This enables transparency and also allows for much wider participation”, says Vazirani.
