Internet retailer Amazon.in released its annual top picks for the season on Wednesday. Here is what love-struck Indians across the country are buying to woo their partners.

Mumbai: True to its spirit, Mumbai aced this season’s purchase of movies and music albums. Young lovers in the city bought more albums of One Direction, Taylor Swift and Adele. Fans of Hindi music picked albums by Bollywood musician Arijit Singh, whose album Soulful Voice was the most popular romantic music album while A.R Rahman’s O Kadhal Kanmani was second in demand.

Malayalam film titled Premam—a romantic comedy—topped the charts. More people placed orders for Bollywood films like Tanu weds Manu and Dil Dhadakne Do.

Delhi: People in the capital city bought more books to gift this Valentine’s Day. Chetan Bhagat’s Half Girlfriend was the top selling book on Amazon, followed by Preeti Shenoy’s Life is what you Make it and Ravinder Singh’s I Too Had a Love Story.

Bengaluru : Lovers in Bengaluru pushed up sales of jewelry and watches. Shoppers bought more jewelry this Valentine’s Day to woo their partners with Amazon registering a double-digit growth in volumes with rings, bracelets and ornamental bejewelled roses in high demand. Couple bands, alphabet pendants and heart-shaped jewellery remained popular buys.

Kolkata and Goa: The Theory of Everything—a romantic-drama based on the life of physicist Stephen Hawking and his love affair with Jane Wilde Hawking, was a top-seller with the online retailer.
