Hyderabad:Ramoji Film City, the world’s largest film studio-cum-holiday destination has bagged the prestigiousRs.Golden Pony Award, considered an Oscar equal in the leisure industry.
The award instituted by Rs.Games & Parks Industry’ magazine of Italy is given to those who show innovation and excellence within the leisure space.
It scored over many established contenders in the theme part category and emerged as the only Asian enterprise to walk away with the honour.
Rajiv Jalnapurkar, vice-president, Ramoji Film City who received the award in Genova, Italy said, “This is a recognition for our commitment to provide an unforgettable experience to our guests.’’
Ramoji Film City which made its way to the Guinness Book of World Records for being the largest film studio in the world is spread over 1,666 acres with extraordinary gardens, authentic sets and lavish locales.
More than one million tourists visit what they feel is a fantasy world which brings alive dazzling celluloid images.
