A gingerbread house modeled after a 12th century Danish church adorns the lobby of the Shangri-la Hotel. It is meant to bring a feeling of peace and tranquility to its patrons. Made up of 9,253 gingerbread cookies with coconut flakes to give the effect of snow, the gingerbread house took 2 chefs working 12-14 hours- a-day an entire week to make and is completely edible.
In addition, Shangri-la is preparing 4 different flavors of Yule logs including tiramisu, passion fruit, fresh berry, and chocolate crunch.
