Durban: With a view to device strategy to bring Indian tourists to this port city, a group of travel agents from India are on a visit to the tourist hot spot of South Africa.
“Indian tourists will love this region because they can identify with the environment and the people," official of the Mumbai-based South African Tourism Medha Sampath said.
Sampath, who has facilitated the trip for the travel agents, said more than 36,000 Indian tourists who visit South Africa annually mainly go to Cape Town, the Sun City, or the Kruger National Park regions.
“Now we want to send tourists to Durban and KwaZulu-Natal because of the varied attractions in this region," she said, adding there are places like the Drakensberg Mountain region where the beauty and tranquility is fascinating.
“We would now vigorously promote Durban and KwaZulu- Natal because of the friendliness and hospitality of the people here," said Sampath.
