Leading sports brand aggressively woos women users

New Delhi: Women’s sport apparel gets trendier with established brand names making a strategic decision to create ranges that suit this growing segment.
Reebok India has put together a new ‘Women Collection’, that has ready-to-wear outfits and accessories on the themes of fitness wear, street wear and club wear.
Classified into four collections viz. Running, Premier Tennis, Club Tennis and UK Classic, they are an apt reflection of present day youth and their aspirations.
“Running” has long sleeve tech tops, running tights and fluttering butterfly graphic tees. Made of stretch polyester spandex fabrication with mesh, they allow the skin to breathe better and also block colour. Equipped with play dry technology they are available in shades of black and are priced between Rs 1299/- to Rs 1499/-
According to Shamim Sajid, director marketing, Reebok India, “the women’s collection is all about functionality, technology, comfort and style.
“Premier Tennis” has running jackets, tops and tennis pants, for on and off court wear. With play dry technology, it has shimmer mesh and micro power mesh paneling for easy breathability, its priced between Rs 899/- and Rs 2,999/-
“Cub Tennis” has short sleeve tops and fashion skirts with built-in shorts in the Rs 899 to 1600 price band.
“UK Classic” has young silhouettes, accentuated with union jack emblems and detailing zip through hoody, vests, cotton jersey and woven pants and UK Classic Tier 2 collection has woven jackets, woven pants and tanks.
The range will be retailed in all flagship stores of Reebok in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
