CAB to get Rs eight crore for hosting IPL matches

Kolkata: The Cricket Association of Bengal will get a grant from Board of Control for Cricket in India for hosting the Indian Premier League matches, CAB President Prasum Mukherjee said on Saturday.
The CAB will get a grant of Rs eight crore from the BCCI for hosting the matches, Mukherjee told reporters after an emergency general body meeting of the association here.
He said representatives from Red Chilli, owned by filmstar Sharukh Khan, would arrive in the city on 11 February to have discussion with CAB regarding the IPL matches.
For development of cricket in different parts of Bengal, the CAB in turn will give a grant of Rs one lakh each to all the 121 affiliated units.
