New Delhi: GoAir, India’s upcoming ‘smart fare’ airline is the first domestic airline to appoint a Bollywood star as its brand ambassador. As part of GoAir’s brand building initiative, the airline has partnered with Preity Zinta, to help them make a strong statement in the already overcrowded airline space.

Her instinctive style, full of beans and youthful persona are in line with what the airline wants to convey as its USP. Preity will support and be part of various marketing and branding efforts in the months to come.

Managing director, Jeh Wadia, said, “GoAir is committed to achieving a leadership position in the low fare airline segment. In a short span of time, it has been able to capture 5% market share while generating recognition and loyalty among its passengers and also within the airline industry."

Speaking on her new role Preity said “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of a brand that echoes my inherent sense of self. I hope that the affordable and competitive pricing policy will enable a larger chunk of Indians to fly."

She recapitulated, “When I was a young girl and my father was in the army, flying to distant bases seemed like a dream due to connectivity issues. I’m glad today a modestly priced airline can make such dreams a reality with their offering of great connectivity and increasing links/direct flights to distant and exotic destinations."

Preity will feature in their new thematic nationwide campaign "Chalo India, Lets Fly Smart". GoAir also unveiled the new vibrant look website –www.GoAir.in which will have interactive features enhancing web bookings for its passengers.

For the new summer schedule, they have a total of 387 weekly flights across 10 destinations in India.
