Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd will hike advertising rates by up to 10% across the network in September, chief executive officer Punit Goenka said on Tuesday, even as the company announced that shareholders had approved the reappointment of Subhas Chandra as director.
“Advertising rates are firming up as the scenario is gradually improving. We had cut rates in (the) second half of 2008-09 and are now planning to hike rates by high single digits across the network when the next buying cycle starts,” he said.
He, however, declined to say by how much the advertising rates would be hiked in the flagship channel Zee TV.
Separately, Chandra was also appointed as the chief executive of Zee Entertainment’s overseas subsidiary Asia TV Ltd, UK, for three years, with effect from 1 April.
