New Delhi: First Serve Toonz, the joint venture company between Toonz Animation India and First Serve International,announced a tie-up with BBC for a new animation series, based on the Marvel character, Wolverine, which has a worldwide appeal.
BBC has secured the television rights in the UK for the first series of 26 half hour episodes.
According to Jesse Cleverly Head of CBBC Co-Productions and Acquisitions, “Wolverine scripts were amongst the best we read and the show promises to be an involving experience for the audience. We are glad to be part of this new animation franchise.”
Mr P Jayakumar, CEO, Toonz Animation India and Edward Borgerding, Managing Director of First Serve International said, “We will try to uphold the standards of quality which BBC is well known for.”
The show will be represented internationally by Liberation Entertainment and in the United States by Marvel.
