Motorola slashes Moto G 3rd gen price by 17% to Rs9,999

Motorola has also reduced the price of its Moto G Turbo edition by about 14% to Rs12,499

New Delhi: Smartphone maker Motorola on Wednesday slashed the price of the third generation its best-selling handset, Moto G by 16.6% to 9,999.

The device was launched in July last year at Rs11,999 (8GB memory with 1GB RAM) and Rs12,999 (16GB storage with 2GB RAM) in India. The 16GB version is now available for Rs10,999.

Motorola has also reduced the price of its Moto G Turbo edition by about 14% to Rs12,499. The device was launched last month priced at Rs14,499. The Moto G Turbo is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon chipset, Android Lollipop operating system, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and 2,470mAh battery.

“The Moto G (3rd Gen) is now available starting Rs9,999 and Moto G Turbo variant is available starting Rs12,499 exclusively on Flipkart. “In addition to this, there are exciting exchange offers such as upto Rs4,000 on Moto G (3rd Gen) and up to Rs5,000 on Moto G Turbo Edition," Motorola said in a statement.
