New Delhi: Miditech Pvt. leading television content provider is starting a 20- episode series dedicated to Kishore Kumar, starting today evening.
In association with Sony Entertainment Television, post the successful culmination of the 3rd season of Indian Idol, the show will feature 12 singers, hand picked from a selection of talented and experienced singers from across the country as contestants, who will be judged by two permanent judges of the show, Bappi Lahiri, and Sudesh Bhonsle.
“The music show hopes to bring out Kishoreda’s versatility as a singer. It will bring alive the various moods that were associated with him through anecdotes and musical compositions” accordign to Babul Supavitra, head of non-fiction at Miditech.
The ‘no-age bar’ feature of the show format allows a very interesting mix of contestants – from 21-year old Suhas Sawant of Mumbai to 49-year old Sameer Memon of Chattisgarh. Clubbed under two teams - ‘Bangdu’ and ‘Jhumroo’ there would be a healhty spirit of competition.
The episode series would be divided into themes reflecting the versatile moods of the legend – comic, soulful, romantic etc., providing contestants a platform to portray their versatility, spirit, improvisation, voice quality, emotional quotient, performance, stage presence and passion.
