New Delhi: The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week has seen a record number or buyers this year. 150 fashion houses and designer labels are vying for the work of 82 designers. There are buyers from New York, Chicago, Boston, Paris, Dubai and many southeastern countries as well.
The five-day show is expected to generate at least Rs 150 crore worth of business. A ramp show costs upwards of two lakh rupees and stall space is at 10,000 rupees a square meter at the WIFW. A 3x3 stall would cost 90-thousand rupees.
The FDCI goes through a very stringent process of selecting designers and inviting them to showcase at the WIFW. Only those designers who have had some previous experience of ramp shows and have done some business in the past are invited.
