New Delhi: Catering to a new breed of customers who have begun to appreciate both red and white wines are companies like N.D. Wines who are now in addition to export, looking seriously at the domestic market.
Launching a new range of wines in the capital recently, Ashok Gaikwad, chairman of the company said, “With growing popularity of our wines in the domestic market, we hope to make our own place under the sun and thereby challenge the supremacy which some countries have traditionally had in the international wine market."
With a large distribution and supply network, they are the sole supplier to J. Sainbury, Tesco and Mark’s & Spencer’s
They have ten wines in the market and they also grow Carbernet Sauvignon- reserve and Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Carbernet Souvignon, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. They are one of the largest exporters of home grown grapes.
Galaxy, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are the new brands in the Red Wine range and Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc are additions in the White Wine collection. They are priced between ₹ 330 to 490 per bottle (including taxes)
