New Delhi: Sony BMG and UTV Motion Pictures launched the music of the film, ‘Life In A Metro’ at a star-studded affair in the capital on 28 March which also had the cast and crew of the film, including Shilpa Shetty, Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut.
“Life In A Metro” claims to have a unique soundtrack both in terms of content and treatment. Director Anurag Basu has created a melting pot of musical talent which is christened ‘Band Metro’. The ensemble features Pritam Chakraborty, performer Soham Chakraborty, singers Suhail and James and Eric Pillai, a mixing guru.
It brings to life the mood and pulse of the film which has personal reflections and realizations with most of the story being told in voiceovers.
The movie features stories that run parallel, set in the backdrop of a Metropolitan, though the graph of the film is singular and the songs try to touch an emotional chord.
Director, Anurag Basu added, “the songs form an integral part of the script and drive the story forward.”
The movie has been produced by UTV Motion Pictures, whose recent big release included Rang de Basanti. The music launch was sponsored by Diageo.
