Whether it’s the dramatic setting of a velodrome or the carnival-like atmosphere of a road race, cycling always makes for serious entertainment. With a good sprinkling of Olympic medallists at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the cycling events may turn out to be edge-of-the-seat affairs. India, though, has little presence in the sport, despite naming a 27-member squad for the Games, with Bikram Singh and Rameshwari Devi leading the men’s and women’s challenge, respectively.
