New Delhi: The ‘seriously funny’ TV comedy talent show that has had people glued to their television sets and has created mini celebrity status for the finalists is on popular demand, entering its third innings on Star One.
The new series will see fresh comic talent replete with wit and characteristic humour, week after week.
Kicking off season three, Ajay Vidyasagar, President Content and New media said, “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge has pioneered humour on Indian television and also discovered some fresh comic talent. Our objective is to provide wholesome entertainment that can be enjoyed by the entire family."
The show which was also telecast in Pakistan and Dubai has a growing and loyal list of patrons. 50 shortlisted contestants are lined up for the talent hunt, at the end of which will be crowned the ‘Hasi Ka Baadshah’ (King of Laughter) 2007.
Produced by Endemol India, a global leader in television and other audiovisual entertainment, TGILC 3 comes with a refreshing promise of at least being different from the usual Saas Bahu sagas and the contrived relationship cauldron that TV soaps are endlessly submerged in.
Scheduled to be aired from May 18 on every Friday and Saturday from 9.00 to 10.00pm on Star One
