J.C. Giri, president, Ogilvy and Mather India, has resigned. He was overseeing O&M and OgilvyAction for activation services. Giri confirmed his departure, but did not divulge where he was going.
Jerry Buhlmann has been appointed CEO of Aegis Media and will be joining the board of Aegis on 2 June. Aegis Media is the media communications business of Aegis Group, and the largest independent media communications network in the world. Buhlmann succeeds Mainardo de Nardis in this role.
Royal Philips Electronics has announced that it has appointed 
Vivek Sharma as chief marketing officer for the Indian subcontinent. Sharma will be in charge of the development and execution of an integrated strategy for brand development across the various business sectors. Prior to working with Philips, Sharma was with Mirc Electronics Ltd as vice-president (marketing and sales) and spearheaded the relaunch of the Onida brand across product categories.

Prabhakar Mundkur, chief operating officer of PerceptH, has now been named CEO. Says Harindra Singh, vice-chairman and managing director, Percept Ltd, “Prabhakar has been the backbone of PerceptH’s success in the past few years. Prabhakar’s hands-on approach will ensure an even more focused and process-driven way of working at PerceptH.’’
