New Delhi: Getting a 99% approval rating from your employees is no mean feat. American chief executive officers (CEOs) Bob Bechek of management consulting firm Bain and Co., Scott Scherr of Ultimate Software and Dominic Barton of Mckinsey and Co. have achieved this to become the top three highest rated CEOs, in that order, according to the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards announced last week. Recruiting and jobs website Glassdoor ranked the 50 CEOs that got rave reviews from their staff. Glassdoor’s rankings are based on feedback employees shared via the Glassdoor company review survey between 2 May 2015 and 1 May 2016. The company then applied a proprietary algorithm that considered the quality, quantity and consistency of reviews to determine the final rankings.

What did employees say?
The reviews by employees are a mixed bag. For instance, a Facebook employee said: “It’s not a workplace, it’s a family full of mad love!" Another working at Facebook for more than a year in Hyderabad wrote: “No exciting work happens out of Hyderabad office, too much favouritism in place, people suck up to folks in US offices, be prepared to take calls at 10-11pm almost everyday, people mistake meetings for productivity, no planned investment for the future, this has become more of a back office." Employees also offers some advice to the management: “Develop Hyderabad as a fully functional centre of excellence as India is a huge market and you can’t rely on a white man/woman sitting ten thousand miles away to figure out the Indian market."
Employee feedback for Google was positive, based on “food, enjoyment, colleagues, super facility cabs, meetings fun session".
An Adobe employee working out of the Noida office said: “Best work culture, good quality work, attractive employee stock option plan. Overall one of best companies to work for in Noida."
