Indian travellers likely to spend less on holidays this year: report

Nearly 64% of the respondents were in favour of spending less than Rs20,000 on their holidays this year

New Delhi: Price-conscious Indian travellers are likely to spend less on their holidays this year, according to a survey conducted by travel website Skyscanner.
The survey was conducted on Facebook between 11 January and 20 January. Around 1,000 Indian travellers who participated were asked how much they would be willing to set aside for an annual holiday.
Nearly two-thirds of the respondents (64%) were in favour of spending less than Rs20,000 with a third of the travellers (26%) opting to spend between Rs17,500-35,000. Only a small segment of those polled (1-2%) plan to spend Rs100,000 on their holidays this year.
