New Delhi: The Union finance ministry has approved 24 proposals for foreign direct investment, based on the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, or FIPB. These proposals will result in a fresh FDI of around Rs753 crore.
The proposals fall under the ministries/departments of chemical & petrochemicals, commerce, heavy industry, industrial policy & promotion, information & broadcasting, information technology and telecommunication. The ministry has also deferred decision on 11 other FDI proposals and rejected two others.
