Mumbai: TV Today Network won’t cut advertisement rates because of low volumes, a top official said.
“We have decided not to reduce rates... Because in the market itself volumes is low, it doesn’t make any sense reducing rates,” G Krishnan, chief executive officer told television channel CNBC TV18 on Tuesday.
Still, the month of March has shown some growth in the advertising sales, he said.
“Its certainly better than what we had anticipated and I think it could improve in the month of April,” he added.
The company also doesn’t intend to sell any of its properties, he added.
“We have no plans to sell any of our properties. If there is an opportunity we will surely look at acquiring some businesses,” he said, in response to a question on whether the company is planning a sale.
At 10:57 am, shares in the company were up 10.65%, to Rs80.55, in a flat Mumbai market.
