Note to readers
Dear Reader,
Thank you for your continued patronage of Mint.
According to the latest round of the Indian Readership Survey, Mint’s average issue readership is now 222,000, an increase of around 23,000 from the last round.
Mint continues to be the second most read business newspaper in the country (after ‘The Economic Times’, which has an average issue readership of 769,000).
The survey’s methodology means that Mint’s readership in Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad has still not been taken into account. The 222,000 average issue readership comes from Mint’s editions in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and a few other centres fed by them. This translates into a market share of 27% in these markets.
Numbers, though, tell only a part of the story. While we will continue to try to reach more people, our primary emphasis will remain on being a fair-minded and clear-headed chronicler of the Indian dream.
