Mumbai: Leading consumer goods company Dabur India today reported a net profit of Rs65.70 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, an increase from Rs50.22 crore from the corresponding quarter last year.
Total income of the company stood stronger at Rs446.27 crore at the end of the January-March quarter, compared to Rs334.84 crore in the previous fiscal, Dabur India informed the BSE.
The company said the current period reflects post-merger figures of its combined three subsidiaries — Balsara Home Products Ltd, Balsara Hygiene Products Ltd and Besta Cosmetics, which took effect from 1 April 2006.
On an annual basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs252.08 crore from Rs189.08 crore last year. Total income rose to Rs1,794.53 crore from Rs1,375.03 crore.
On a consolidated basis, the group recorded a net profit after minority interest of Rs76.91 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, up from Rs49.96 crore for the same period a year ago.
For the same period, the consolidated total income was at Rs583.58 crore from Rs482.12 crore.
For the 12 months ended 31 March, the group registered a net profit after minority interest of Rs283.04 crore from Rs214.18 crore.
The consolidated total income increased to Rs2,259.63 crore from Rs1,912.94 crore.
