New Delhi: India on Friday left its estimate for gross domestic product growth in the 2007-08 fiscal year unchanged at 9.0%, a government statement said.
But the Central Statistical Organisation revised upwards GDP growth for 2006-07 to 9.7% from the previous estimate of 9.6%. Expansion in 2005-06 was moved up to 9.5% from 9.2%.
Asia’s third-largest economy is expected to slow to around 7% in the current fiscal year which ends in March due to the impact of the global slowdown.
