Bengaluru: Gympik Health Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a fitness discovery portal that aggregates gyms and trainers, on Tuesday said it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from RoundGlass Partners to expand into new markets.
The firm, started in 2013, had earlier raised funding from Delhi-based health-tech incubator, Healthstart, and a group of angel investors led by Rohan Ajila.
It currently aggregates about 10,000 fitness centres and 6,000 trainers from 20 cities and offers fitness centres a software programme to track performance and fitness schedules. It also offers users insights on calories burnt and daily health tips.
“We have seen incredible adoption of Gympik.com. The funding will be used to help us meet this growing demand and expand into new geographies. We will also use the funding to hire technical talent that can help us reach our expansion goals,” said Amaresh Ojha, chief executive officer, Gympik, in a statement.
“We are incredibly pleased to add Gympik.com to our list of portfolio of companies. As the fitness industry grows, consumers struggle with where and how to get started,” said Sunny Singh, founder of RoundGlass Partners.
