Mumbai: Deccan Aviation Ltd, Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd, Adlabs Films Ltd and some others rose a day after the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd said their shares would be included for trading in the futures & options segment.
The National Stock Exchange, which is partly owned by NYSE Group Inc., released a list of 31 company stocks that will be included for derivatives trading from 14 May, the Mumbai-based stock exchange said in a statement yesterday.
Overseas investors and institutional investors prefer to invest in futures & options as it mitigates risk boosting trading in the stocks of the companies.
Shares of companies added to the futures & options list include Aditya Birla Nuvo, Adlabs Films, Alstom Projects India Ltd, Deccan Aviation, Dena Bank, Hotel Leela Ventures Ltd, Mahindra Gesco Developers, Moser-Baer (India) Ltd, Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd among others.
Shares of Deccan Aviation, India’s biggest low-fare carrier, rose Rs3.9, or 3.6%, to Rs113.5 at 11:03 am local time on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Aditya Birla Nuvo, a local maker of garments gained Rs38.55, or 3.3%, to Rs1,196.95. Adlabs Films, a film processor and movie exhibitor rose Rs18.5, or 4.2%, to Rs457.7.
