Trivitron to develop low-cost diagnostic devises with Turku University, THSTI

Mumbai: Chennai-based medical devices maker Trivitron Healthcare group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Turku and Indian Translational Health Science Technology Institute (THSTI) on Thursday to develop an affordable medical point of care diagnostics device for use in India and other developing countries.
This diagnostic platform can be used in the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome, infectious diseases and cancer markers, among others. The basic research for these techonologies were funded by India’s department of biotechnology, Tekes--the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation—and the Academy of Finland.
