New Delhi: Software company NIIT Tech has signed a multi-million pound three-year outsourcing deal with its existing client British Airways.
The deal is one of the largest ever to be signed by NIIT Tech, it said in a statement.
NIIT will provide support and testing of critical business applications across various business areas of the airline.
The deal comes at a time when the global airlines industry is going through a rough patch due to high fuel costs, declining sales and a credit crunch.
British Airways has also taken a cost mitigation exercise with their global partners to reduce costs and maintain competitiveness.
British Airways Support Manager, IT Applications, Mike Doyle said NIIT Tech is a reliable partner and BA is pleased to continue its long term relationship with it.
The share of NIIT Technologies was up 0.79% at Rs95.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
