Mumbai: State-run airlines Air India and Indian will install software from Oracle that helps integrate supplies, financial management, information systems and operations better, across their offices ahead of a merger expected to be complete in two years. Local tech services vendor Satyam Computer Services will train Air India staff on the ‘enterprise resource planning’ (ERP) package, an official at the international airline said, preferring not to be identified. “The training of staff for the ERP software is going on. We are implementing the solution from the new financial year (which started on 1 April),” the official said. Training of the employees at Indian will start soon, he added. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
