IIFT completes final placement in a week
IIFT says 69 companies hired its entire batch of 219 students on salaries that on an average were 20% higher than last year's
New Delhi: The B-School placement season has started with a bang—the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in New Delhi said on Thursday it has achieved 100% placement within a week.
IIFT, a leading B-School under the ministry of commerce and industry, said 69 companies hired its entire batch of 219 students on salaries that on an average were 20% higher than last year’s.
The highest international compensation offered was $110,000 ( ₹ 68 lakh) and the highest domestic offer was ₹ 24 lakh per annum.
Close to quarter of the batch received PPOs—a 48% rise over last year, the institute said. Hiring companies included Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd, Cipla Ltd, ITC Ltd, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Wipro Ltd hired from the campus.
Similarly, e-commerce biggies like Amazon, Flipkart, consulting majors like PwC, international financial firms like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Bank of America and Citibank.
