SIDBI signs MoU with Bahrain for SME business expansion
SIDBI will provide technical assistance to BDB group in the areas of risk and management of bad assets
Mumbai: Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which SIDBI will train BDB group officials to appraise credit risk and monitor loans given to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
SIDBI will also provide technical assistance to BDB Group in the areas of risk and management of bad assets.
In return, SIDBI will explore opportunities for Indian SMEs to expand their businesses in Bahrain through tie-ups with similar SMEs in the Gulf country, SIDBI said in a statement.
The agreement was signed in Delhi by Ahmed bin Mohamed, minister of finance, Bahrain and N.K. Maini, deputy managing director, in-charge, SIDBI.
