Airtel offers 10 GB data for a recharge of Rs259

New Delhi: Once again, the surge in competitive intensity, following the launch of 4G data services by Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, is on show as Bharti Airtel Ltd on Wednesday announced data offer of 10 GB on a recharge of Rs.259 for customers buying 4G handsets for next three months.
“The customers have to avail the offer within a month of purchase of new handset and have the benefit of recharging thrice in a period of three months. “Airtel is offering 10 GB 4G/3G data on a recharge of Rs259 along with any new 4G handset. 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through MyAirtel App. The data will be valid for 28 days. Users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer,” Airtel said in a statement.
Earlier this month, Bharti Airtel introduced 4G services in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh and provides 4G services across 18 circles in India.
Last week, Bharti Airtel announced deployment of new technology to provide internet speed of up to 100 mbps and unlimited free voice calling for all broadband users.
In September, Airtel introduced a special 4G offer that provides 30GB of data at 4G LTE speeds for a duration of 90 days from the day of recharge for prepaid users at Rs.1,495 and prior to this, the company had offered a My Plan Infinity pack at Rs.949 offers 1GB of 4G data along with unlimited access to movie and music streaming on 4G and free local calls.

The telecom sector has seen a number of tariff cuts and data benefit offers being introduced by incumbents in the last four months to protect subscriber base from Reliance Jio’s attractive tariff plans. Airtel has been rolling out lucrative data offers continuously. Reliance Jio has introduced free welcome offer up till 31 December 2016, offering free data and voice to all Jio subscribers.
