New York: Yahoo! Inc. and SanDisk Corp. started selling a digital music player intended to rival Apple Inc.’s iPod.
Sansa Connect costs $249.99 and enables users to download music wirelessly, the companies said in a statement distributed by Business Wire on 9 April. Apple’s iPod must be connected to a computer to access new music.
Owners can download unlimited music from Yahoo’s Web site for a monthly subscription fee, the companies said.
