Panaji: Global consulting and outsourcing company Accenture plans to scale up its operations in India by bringing the entire suite of products and services, besides increasing headcount to meet the growing demand from clients.
“We will bring full footprint of Accenture into India and unleash all services in the country gradually,” Accenture India Domestic Businesses Managing Director Sadeesh Raghavan said here.
With 14 offices in Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune, he said Accenture, which has been present in India for at last 20 years, would open more offices and scale up headcount to offer its services to companies across segments.
Currently, Accenture employs about 35,000 people in the country.
Raghavan said the company would strengthen its operations across all the verticals it is present in.
“We are not present equally in all the segments we are in. There are segments such as products and resources where we have a good presence in the country. But there is still some ground to cover in other areas, and we will go full throttle in these areas gradually,” he said.
He said the company is also looking to expand presence in sectors of e-governance and financial services.
Accenture offers services in the verticals of communication and hi-tech, financial services, government, products comprising auto, health, retail, consumer goods, transport, industrial equipments, and resources (energy and utilities).
The company has been recording a double digit growth rate in India and going forward, it would continue to post encouraging growth, Raghavan said without divulging further details.
